Care & Handling

I create each print myself using Epson professional printers and Canson Infinity's Platine Fibre Rag 310. My tests with numerous fine art photo papers have shown Platine Fibre Rag to have the best combination of color saturation & gamut, deep black level, and durability with its textured lustre finish.

If you've never handled artwork or you're used to canvas, you may find Platine Fibre Rag fairly delicate. Careful handling is certainly required. For a fine art photo paper, though, it is quite durable.

Rather thick, Platine Fibre Rag does not tend to bend, crease, or curl. Its coated finish is less prone to dent/mar than most photo papers, and if protected by a cover sheet can handle the heat of a dry-mount press. However, like all rag papers Platine has very little shear strength (resistance to tearing) and the finish is somewhat susceptible to the oils in your skin. White cotton gloves are preferred for handling.

Before shipping, I inspect each print for defects, place it in an archival plastic sleeve, and roll it in a heavy-duty shipping tube. Shipping is free within the United States (please email first for International orders). For logistical reasons I do not currently offer framing; on request I can ship directly to your framing shop.
